The distillery is another from the boom years of the
late Victorian era, built in 1894 by James Duff. The company formed as
the Lonmorn-Glenlivet Distillery Company and they ran the distillery
though the 20's depression until they merged with Glenlivet and Glen
Grant Distilleries to for Glenlivet Distilleries Ltd in 1970.
They increased production in 1972 to 6 stills and again in 1974 to 8
stills. Nowadays it is owned by Seagrams who bought the operation in
1977 |

Another nutty malt, this one is more full bodied with a stronger nose and sweeter. The 12 year old is good, but you can't go wrong with the 15 year . |
